Jenna started "Jenna Spets Photography" solo in 2018. She had Emily assist her, take headshots for her & would ask her creative opinion on editing and shoots.
At the start of 2021, Jenna proposed the idea of making it an official business partnership, which Emily was very down for!
By the end of 2021, they had both quit their office jobs and were shooting weddings full time.
Jenna & Emily have been operating Spets Photography & shooting weddings full time since the summer of 2021 and could not love it more!
OUR VISION, OUR APPROACH:
WARM & TRUE TO LIFE EDITS
We'd describe our edits as true to life, with just a warmer, richer and slightly more vibrant feel to them. We want the sunset to pop just as much as it did in person, while still keeping the color integrity of the dresses, florals, etc.
We believe Photoshop should be the cherry on top of an already good photo. No, we don't alter bodies or change appearances. Yes, we will get rid of any temporary blemishes or distracting background items.
natural skin tones
While maintaining our warmer & more vibrant edit, we tailor our skin tone edits to each client.
We believe all skin tones are beautiful and deserve to be shot and edited in the most flattering way possible.
We have not only educated ourselves in how to edit and shoot all skin tones, but we continue to learn and grow every day to ensure we do right by our clients.
...and yes, we also will bring down the reds in sunburns and the oranges in spray tans.

Our approach when capturing your wedding day is to have a mix of candid and formal.
We're always on the lookout to make sure we are capturing those smaller/intimate moments you might not remember while also ensuring you get high quality and well curated group photos, formal portraits, etc. Yes, we will setup the perfect backdrop for a first look or direct you into the best lighting- but only when needed.
keeping it CLASSIC
Okay, so here's the deal...
photography trends come & go, but your wedding photos are forever. We know trends are fun, so each gallery will receive a handful of more "trendy" choices. Dutch angles, grain, motion blur, etc. We know it's impossible for anything to be truly "timeless" but our approach is to keep all colors true to life and all formal photos & big moments to be shot as traditional as possible. The photo of you & your grandma doesn't need a funky crop or tilted lens angle. You tearing up the dance floor? Why not some fun motion blur!
KINDNESS & CALMESS
We won't sugar-coat it, wedding days can sometimes get hectic or stressful! Trust us, we've seen it all...which is why we are able to bring kindness and calmness to each and every situation.
We won't get flustered or snappy if something doesn't go according to plan, we will always be there to talk down any concerns or stressors.
We're here to ease your mind and we are experts at going with the flow and ensuring all things photography go flawlessly!

If your wedding palette includes oranges, greens or neutrals, sign us up!!! While we aim to achieve making all colors, hues and shades look amazing in our edits, oranges/greens/neutrals especially shine when it comes to how we edit our photos!

true to you choices
We love couples who go against traditions that they don't vibe with! Weddings should be a reflection of you and your partner, not of what's currently trendy or expected for a wedding. We've had clients do cotton candy, ice cream, donuts, s'mores, etc. instead of cake. We love seeing wedding days that are unique to the couple and reflect who they are so much!
STEP 04
CANDID, UNPOSED MOMENTS
Pinterest, Tik Tok, Insta...all great places to pull wedding inspo from! However, with that said, we don't feel it should be your entire inspo for your entire day. Just because you saw a reel that said a champagne pop with your girls is a must, doesn't mean it actually is or you have to do it! The weddings with fewer and less specific shot lists will alwaaaaays end up with more genuine and candid galleries. Our favorite days are the ones where the couple is in the moment & not rushing from photo op to photo op.

Where are you based and do you travel?
We are based in North Phoenix! We travel all around the state of Arizona and Southern California.
do you include the raw photos or can i purchase them?
No, we do not sell or provide the raw images.
What is your turnaround time?
8-12 weeks for wedding galleries and 2-3 weeks for mini/full sessions.
do you offer any military or other discounts?
We do not.
do you offer payment plans?
Yes! Monthly payment plans are available once we are 3 months out from your wedding date.
Do you offer or shoot on film?
We do not currently offer film! All sessions and weddings are shot digitally.

1.Fill out the contact form
If you've looked through our entire website, checked out our packages and portfolio and feel that we are a good fit for what you're looking for, the 1st step is to fill out of our contact form! Provide as much detail as possible, we love to know who is interested in working with us!
2.Call or Meet up
Once we get your inquiry, we'll make sure we have your date available. If your date is available, we can either do an over the phone or in-person meeting to go over allllll of the details about your day and make sure we're the correct fit for you! If meetings aren't your thing, we're also more than happy to answer all of the questions you have for us via email to determine if we're the photographers for you!
3.MAKE IT OFFICIAL
If you want to take make it official, we will send you your contract & deposit invoice. Each client gets 1 week to review their contract before signing and paying their deposit.
4.IT'S OFFICIAL
Once the contract is signed and the deposit is paid, we're all set and ready to go!
WE BELIEVE EVERY SINGLE PERSON IS A UNIQUE WORK OF ART, AND WE MAKE SURE TO CAPTURE EACH OF OUR SUBJECTS WITH THE CARE TO TREAT THEM AS SUCH. IN THE OLD DAYS YOU WOULD COMMISSION YOUR FAVORITE ARTIST TO PAINT YOUR PORTRAIT, CAPTURE YOUR ESSENCE, AND TURN YOU INTO AN IMMORTAL WORK OF ART.
